Flash Flooding Slams into Turtle Creek

Pictures show the destruction caused by the power of the flash flooding.

Texas is known for extreme weather. It's lived up to that mantra here lately. Mother nature has thrown a lot at us this summer from excessive heat, exceptional drought, and historic rainfall. The summer of 2022 will be one for the record books.

It will take weeks to clean up the mess left by the storm. The city's response has been swift, and we are so grateful. A new resource, Aqua Clean (funded by TCA), has also responded quickly. Paul and his crew were on site the day after the rain stopped to remove the storm's trash and debris left behind.

TCA is looking for additional ways to help our Parks and Recreation partners. We are currently working with them and Turtle Creek Conservancy to coordinate a volunteer park clean-up day...more to come.
