New Vendor: Introducing Trash Free Waterways for a Cleaner Turtle Creek

We are thrilled to announce a new chapter in our commitment to a cleaner and healthier Turtle Creek with the introduction of our new vendor, Trash Free Waterways, a highly recommended service currently utilized by the city of Highland Park. Their dedication to excellence and the strong recommendation from our neighbors makes us confident that they are the right fit for Turtle Creek.

What makes this transition even more exciting is that Trash Free Waterways has not only provided a bid that is more cost-effective than our current service but will also offer a more comprehensive scope of work. One significant improvement is the removal of the 10-foot shoreline restrictions. Trash Free Waterways has committed to a thorough cleanup, addressing all visible trash, whether within 10 feet of the shoreline, trapped in the trees, or on the trails.

Currently, we are in the process of finalizing paperwork with the City of Dallas, our target date for the first cleaning by Trash Free Waterways is January 2024. This initial cleanup will be a comprehensive "deep clean," and may take a couple of weeks for their crew to complete, but the results will undoubtedly reflect their commitment to excellence.

Furthermore, we are actively working on securing new partnerships to assist with the financing of this crucial endeavor. The support of our community has always been instrumental in achieving our goals, and we look forward to announcing these partnerships soon.
