Pumpkins in the Park-Fall Festival

pumpkins-in-the-park-2013-015.jpgLast Saturday's Pumpkins in the Park Festival was a huge success! At least 1,500 were in attendance and the weather was simply perfect for a day in the park. Great fun was had by everyone in attendance, especially the kids. We sold nearly 300 pumpkins and raised $760 for TCA at the event.

In addition TCA donated nearly 100 pumpkins to the families of patients at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and 100 hay bales to Grauwyler Park for their festival next weekend.

Our Annual Campaign presented a GIANT check for $37,915 to the TCA to launch this year's campaign to improve the Turtle Creek corridor.

We were also very excited to have staged the first Food Truck event on Turtle Creek starring Bubbles the cupcake trailer with Trailercakes, gourmet tacos from Tin Star Taco Taxi and Russian cuisine at Misha's Kitchen. And most importantly, we raised awareness of the Turtle Creek Association's mission to make our neighborhood a better place to live, work and play for all of those who love Turtle Creek.

Many thanks to our wonderful sponsors for their generosity...to our fantastic team of volunteers...and to the Dallas Park & Recreation Department for their partnership in this event along with a shout-out to Good Earth Landscaping for moving 400 pumpkins and 100 hay bales! Thank you all!  We couldn't have done it without you.

Congratulations to Turtle Creek Assocation on its successful, second annual "Pumpkins-in-the-Park" held last weekend. The weather was perfect, the setting was perfect and the pumkins were plentiful. What a delight to see upwards of 1,500 people participating with their famlies and dogs. And we were happy to see Food Trucks for the first time at a Turtle Creek function. Jon Beasley and his TCA staff are to be commended for a job well done. Keep up the good work to help us keep our Turtle Creek Corridor beautiful and inviting.
