Docent Resources

Turtle Creek Tour of Homes

 docent-picture-willonsky-resized.jpg

Thank you for your support of the Turtle Creek Association by your willingness to be a volunteer as a Docent for the Annual Tour of Homes.  Volunteers are an integral part of TCA throughout the year but never more so than at the Tour of Homes event. Without our Docent volunteers it would not be possible to conduct such a large scale event each year. And so, we greatly thank you for volunteering to serve as a Docent for the upcoming Turtle Creek Association Tour of Homes. You make a difference!  Docents may attend the tour free either before or after your shift.

Below you will find various resources to enable you to perform your role as a Docent to the fullest.  We hope that you take advantage of these resources to insure you are fully prepared on the day of the tour.

DOCENT REGISTRATION - 2017 TOUR OF HOMES

If you have not already done so for this year's tour and received a confirmation email (check your spam folder), please register by CLICKING HERE and indicating your preferences in terms of shift and role you would like to do.  You will be notified at the orientation and training session on April 3rd of your specific assignment.  We will work very hard to insure that your preferences are met if possible.  Assignments are generally made on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to place volunteers in the shift and role they request but as spots fill we cannot always honor all requests and may have to place you in a different shift or role.  We appreciate your understanding and support!

DOCENT ORIENTATION & TRAINING SESSION - 2017 TOUR OF HOMES

Docent orientation and training will be held Monday, April 3 at 5:30 at Scottish Rite.  We are holding the session at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital2222 Welborn Street, Dallas, in the Pickens Conference Center Auditorium.  Parking is available at the corner of Maple and Oak Lawn Ave.

Please note that even if you served as a Docent in the past, we have made some changes to better serve our guests of which you will need to be aware and we will also provide resources for your role and your assignment for the tour.  Therefore, it is essential that you attend this session.  In addition, this will be your chance to meet your fellow Docents as well as homeowners, interior designers and architects of the tour homes.
