Work will begin on the bridges located at Lemmon Avenue and Hall Street, which serve as the bookends of the main Turtle Creek Park. They’re also some of the most visible bridges to people driving along Turtle Creek Boulevard. Read on to learn more about an initiative to clean up and give some outdated bridges a refresh.

The city of Dallas, Turtle Creek Association, and Turtle Creek Conservancy have joined forces in an initiative designed to further improve Dallas’ Turtle Creek neighborhood. Together, the organizations will launch The Bridges of Turtle Creek, a campaign designed to rehabilitate the nearly century-old bridges in the historic neighborhood.

The Turtle Creek Association has announced its Azalea Luncheon, to be held on April 2, at the Joule Hotel. The Luncheon will raise funds to preserve, protect, and celebrate the Turtle Creek corridor.

President and CEO, JD Trueblood, has appointed Mary Brinegar as Honorary Chair and Sharon Ballew as chair. Deborah Stanford and Ann Stuart PhD are Honorary Chairs Emeriti, with WRMC as Presenting Sponsor.

Our area’s premier parks are supported by non-profit organizations or “Friends of the Park” groups that lead fundraising and volunteer efforts.

The work of these organizations not only funds gardens. it has also established premier community events that are now North Texas traditions.

The Party The Turtle Creek Association celebrated its annual gala with a sold-out event at the Virgin Hotel Dallas. The elegant setting featured rich purple and turquoise hues, tables draped in black satin, gold accents and beautiful white orchids.
